YUEM–YSB STEM & English Programme 2024 Strengthens STEM Education in Kedah

Sungai Petani, Kedah – 2 December 2024
Yayasan UEM (YUEM), in partnership with Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah (YSB), announced the successful completion of the 2024 STEM & English Programme, impacting more than 300 students across ten secondary schools in Kedah.
The six-month initiative delivered hands-on training in Arduino, coding, digital literacy, and project development. Students completed structured modules covering circuit fundamentals, programming, website creation, and prototype building. A total of 100 STEM Kits were distributed to ensure equitable access to tools and equipment.
A total of 138 innovation projects were submitted during the programme. SMA Islahiah was named overall champion with its “IoT EnviroWatch” project, while teams from SMK Dulang, SMA Islahiah, and SMK Pedu earned national recognition in technology and innovation competitions.
The collaboration between YUEM and YSB reflects a joint commitment to supporting Malaysia’s STEM agenda and nurturing students with practical skills aligned with Industry 4.0 needs.
YUEM and YSB will continue expanding STEM opportunities for young Malaysians as part of their long-term mission to support education and community development.
