Our History & Milestones

2012

Setup Creative Minds Education

Creative Minds Education was founded as a small weekend learning centre in Alam Damai, Cheras. Starting with a single focus—robotics using LEGO Mindstorms NXT—we introduced hands-on STEM learning to the community. Inspired by the direction of the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2012, the centre steadily expanded its offerings and operations, growing from a weekend class into a full-fledged daily education centre dedicated to nurturing young innovators.

2014

Under TERAJU Superb

Creative Minds Education received its first major support through the TERAJU SUPERB government start-up grant. This milestone enabled significant expansion across multiple STEM education segments. With strengthened resources and renewed momentum, we grew both in demographic reach and revenue, delivering broader impact and scaling our STEM programs to more communities and schools nationwide.

2016

Expand into Private & Int Schools

Creative Minds Education expanded its footprint into private and international schools, marking a major step in nationwide outreach. By this year, we were serving nearly 40 schools across Malaysia through extracurricular and co-curricular (ECA/CCA) robotics programs, bringing structured STEM learning and hands-on innovation opportunities directly into school communities.

2018

Acquisition by Sasbadi

Creative Minds Education expanded rapidly into private and international schools, reaching nearly 40 institutions nationwide through our ECA/CCA robotics programs. Later that year, we completed a strategic divestment of this school-operations division to Sasbadi Holdings, marking our first major acquisition milestone and reinforcing the value and impact of our STEM education model.

2019

Collaboration with Teknologi Park Malaysia

Creative Minds Education relocated to Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), now known as MRANTI, marking a significant step into Malaysia’s innovation and technology ecosystem. As an incubatee within this national tech hub, we strengthened our capabilities, expanded our network, and aligned more closely with emerging STEM and innovation-driven industries.

2020

Setup eLearning STEM.org.my

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched our first eLearning platform, stem.org.my, consolidating all STEM modules into a unified digital learning ecosystem. This shift enabled continuous learning nationwide, strengthened our online delivery capabilities, and positioned us at the forefront of virtual STEM education in Malaysia.

2021

Supporting TM Future Skills

We established the TM Future Skills program, a flagship STEM initiative developed for Telekom Malaysia. Built on a strong CSR framework, this program became a model for how corporate partners can play a meaningful role in advancing STEM education, enabling wider industry participation and impact across communities.

2022

Move HQ to Kajang

In line with our growing operations and demand, we expanded our headquarters from One South to Kajang, doubling our office space and strengthening our operational capacity. This move supports larger teams, broader program delivery, and increased nationwide engagement across all STEM initiatives.

2023

Exclusive rights to STEM domains

We successfully secured the exclusive rights to use STEM-related domains in Malaysia and the region, establishing full ownership of all major extensions including .com.my, .net.my, and others. This strategic acquisition strengthened our digital identity, positioned us as the primary STEM domain holder in Malaysia, and reinforced our leadership in the national STEM ecosystem.

2023

Expansion in Philippines and Indonesia

We expanded our regional presence by establishing offices in Jakarta and Manila, building dedicated teams to strengthen cross-border collaboration in STEM education. This year also marked the introduction of our Edutourism initiatives, creating immersive learning experiences that connect students with regional innovation, culture, and industry.

2025

Sign MOU with KPM

After years of continuous growth and contribution to Malaysia’s STEM landscape, Creative Minds Education—now operating as MySTEM Institute—formalised a significant national collaboration with the Ministry of Education (KPM) through a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This milestone marks a major recognition of our long-standing commitment to STEM education and strengthens our role in supporting Malaysia’s education ecosystem nationwide.
