TM Future Skills Expands Digital Learning Access in Pulau Tioman With New Digital Hub and STEM Equipment Deployment

Pulau Tioman, Pahang – 15 August 2025
Yayasan TM, through its TM Future Skills (TMFS) program, has advanced digital education efforts in Pulau Tioman with the launch of the TM Digital Hub at SMK Tekek and the delivery of STEM learning equipment to SK Tekek, SK Juara, and SK Mukut.
The initiative enhances access to digital tools and future-ready competencies for students across remote island communities. Equipment supplied includes laptops, robotics kits, Micro:bit sets, Arduino tools, PocketLab devices, and 3D printers, aligned with TMFS standards for digital literacy and STEM learning.
Ahead of the launch, Creative Minds Education conducted hands-on training sessions at SMK Tekek and SK Mukut to prepare students for demonstrations to TM leadership and visiting dignitaries. Students quickly adapted to coding and robotics modules, successfully building simple prototypes within two sessions.
On 15 August 2025, TM Group CEO En. Amar Huzaimi Md Deris officiated the launch of the SMK Tekek Digital Hub, marking a key milestone in expanding digital inclusion for Tioman Island. The program also received support from the Ministry of Education and was complemented by a royal visit in Mukut under the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative.
TMFS activities across Tioman continue to progress, with remaining training phases scheduled for completion in the coming months. Yayasan TM remains committed to enabling digital readiness and strengthening STEM pathways for young learners in underserved communities.
