STEM @ School Sabah Tour Inspires Young Innovators Across Sabah

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – My STEM Institute successfully conducted the STEM @ School Sabah Tour, bringing hands-on STEM experiences and innovation exposure to students across five secondary schools in Sabah. The tour took place from 9th February 2026 to 13th February 2026. Involved active participation from SM Stella Manis, Kota Kinabalu; SMK Entabuan, Tenom; SMK Lok Yuk, Kota Kinabalu; SMK Mat Salleh; and SMK Tamparuli, engaging hundreds of students in collaborative STEM activities designed to enhance problem-solving, creativity, and future-ready skills.
During the programme, students were introduced to the fundamentals of Arduino, an open-source electronics platform used to teach coding and circuit design through hands-on projects, alongside engaging sessions on 3D design and 3D printing technology. These activities were designed to deepen learners’ understanding of tech applications while fostering creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills — key competencies in preparing future-ready talent for the digital age.
The STEM @ School Sabah Tour provided participating students and teachers with rich experiential learning opportunities rooted in real-world technology. By delivering structured hands-on workshops directly in school environments, the tour strengthened STEM exposure outside the traditional classroom setting and encouraged continuous engagement in emerging tech fields. My STEM Institute looks forward to expanding this initiative further and partnering with more schools across Malaysia to nurture innovation and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
