Creative Minds Supports STEM Learning at SMK Tunku Putra Through TM Future Skills Champion School Initiative


JOHOR BAHRU, 25 June 2023 — Students at SMK Tunku Putra were introduced to exciting opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) during the TM Future Skills Champion School programme, an initiative aimed at nurturing young innovators and preparing students for future careers in technology.
The program featured a variety of STEM learning activities, including demonstrations using digital science tools such as PocketLab sensors, robotics platforms like mBot, and Arduino-based programming systems, allowing students to explore data analytics, programming, and real-world scientific applications.

During the event, students were also exposed to emerging technology careers such as Data Science, 3D Design, and Programming, providing them with insights into the skills required in the digital economy. Educational pathways related to these fields were highlighted, including programs offered by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

The event was officiated by Tuan Haji Azman bin Mashuri, who emphasized the importance of equipping students with future-ready skills through hands-on learning experiences.
As part of the initiative, 10 refurbished computers worth RM20,000 were contributed to participating schools, supporting digital learning and improving access to technology for students.
Students also had the opportunity to explore the STEM digital portal STEM.org.my, which serves as an online resource hub for teachers and students seeking STEM-related learning materials and career guidance.
Through interactive demonstrations and discussions, the program aimed to inspire students to pursue STEM-related fields and cultivate curiosity in science and technology
